The Abels restaurant has a new, very cozy beer garden. We felt very comfortable straight away, nice staff. The chef himself even brought us the food. All dishes we ordered were delicious and freshly prepared across the board. The chanterelles in cream sauce was delicious! There are no points of criticism! We will definitely come back.

I have been here a few times in the past few years, the last few days a few times. I always get a delicious vegan meal here, even though this restaurant is not vegan. What I get as a guest, the other guests are always thrilled. I ate potato pancakes with mushrooms today, just great. The most beautiful thing is the family atmosphere, the warm welcome, the nice, open conversations. It's always like coming home. If you love good cuisine and warm surroundings, this is the place for you. The cook is really very good, the service is nice and courteous, the boss and boss have their hearts in the right place.

We were today with the coupon book for the first but certainly not for the last time in the house Abel. The decor is a bit stale, but the food was absolutely fantastic! The service was good too. We will be back. Greetings from Witten.

Today we went to the geese food in the Abel headquarters. I was a bit skeptical in advance. From the outside, the restaurant looks more like a pub from the 70s. I drove past so often, but I would not have come up with the idea that a really great kitchen is hidden there. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but the good atmosphere made up for it. The service is very attentive and friendly, also understands some fun. But now the main thing and to my great surprise: the food was soooo delicious. We shared with 6 adults (we three gentlemen are very good eaters) two Polish geese. The geese came, after a short in the whole was presented, perfectly disassembled on hot plates to the table. Excellent seasoned, super-crisp skin, juicy meat - I would not know what you could do better. Delicious sauce, wonderful red cabbage, chestnuts and great potato dumplings were added. A flippant remark from one of our ladies that she does not like red cabbage was immediately picked up by the cook and there was also a bowl of delicious kale. All side dishes were homemade, no convenience products. Also, I got another lump without problems. The whole thing was accompanied by three different types of Fiege on tap. The final espresso was delicious. So - absolute recommendation.

The decor is already a bit old, but the very good food, warm hospitality and a great service more than make up for it. Good selection of food in a nicely written menu at fair prices. Here the boss still serves with passion.

We became aware of this restaurant through the coupon book. Already on the phone, the gentleman was very friendly, as was the lady who had served us. The menu has been written just as lovingly. Two slices of bread with very good herb butter (homemade?) Were served in advance. I had pork medallions with chanterelles in cream sauce and roasted potatoes (fried potatoes). The meat was very tender, the sauce was delicious and the fried potatoes were crispy too. My partner had the grill pan with beef, pork and chicken with herb butter, chips with mayo and salad. The meat was served on a hot cast plate, which kept it sizzling. The meat was also delicious. The side dishes could be exchanged without problems against others, which I found very positive. I actually already experienced something different, so I emphasize it. Also interesting: you can order only ¾ of a serving and so pay only ¾ of the price. When we entered the store, we would not have expected such delicious dishes! The first impression has something of pubs flair. But you should not be deterred by that. The food is taste and quality of the bangers and the prices are more than fair (also without coupon book). That was certainly not our last visit.

10 stars, on 15.9. celebrated our anniversary class reunion here and just as I imagined, very nice contact with the management my wishes were all considered. Everything was so well organized, within 15 minutes all had their pre-ordered food and that at about 40 people the food was delicious. The staff was really nice and helpful. We will gladly come again. B. K.

Really great restaurant with a nice family of operators. Definitely worth more than a visit! From 5 p.m. the beautifully prepared and shady beer garden is warmly recommended in summer.

Excellent cuisine with quality ingredients. There is also a selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. The staff is very kind and helpful. I would recommend however to translate the menu also in English. The German language is very difficult and it is frustrating to have to use the translator. Recommended place!
